GP14 Sails

Design Notes

Our GP14 sails have been developed over many years and have performed well at all levels of sailing.

The Genoa is quite full in the base with little extra fullness added in the head area this helps to keep the slot open as the breeze picks up without losing drive. As with many other sailmakers the clew is raised 50mm from max leech length to increase the range of mast rakes available. We also make a Midi Genny with a 400mm shorter foot, for those who prefer this size of sail.

The mainsail is cut with a moderate amount of fullness with a small amount of luff round helping to keep the slot open as much as possible. The mast rake can be used to modify the pre-bend in different conditions as necessary. The sail has a lens foot as standard.

The spinnaker is a standard crosscut design and gives a good all-round performance. A choice of colours is available.
